a little fun...

so my friend meg (http://meglowry.blogspot.com/ )posted "you know you have a 1 yr old if..." and i loved reading it! i'm gonna do the same but obviously mine will be titled:

you know you have a 2 year old and a 4 month old if...

  • you have baby wipes in every room of the house
  • you constantly smell poop, even if the kids are not around (which would obviously be at work, b/c the kids are always around otherwise!)
  • you hear somone, an adult possibly, say "stupid" or "dang" and you tell them No No, we don't say that word
  • you take pictures of EVERYTHING, even a sick baby, just to document his first ear infection
  • you are constantly doing laundry, and baby socks disappear with each load
  • you don't want your boys going outside to play b/c then they will stink and have to have a bath, and they just had one the nite before :)
  • your child finds sippy cups, crackers, fruit snacks, etc in the toy box and you yell "don't eat that!" b/c you don't know how long it's been there
  • you cherish silence, even if it means taking a 20 minute shower and "pretending" not to hear the baby crying the whole 20 minutes from the room next door
  • you want to watch a 30 minute show, but it takes an hour or more b/c you must hit pause multiple times due to the loud and crazy kids
  • you think dinosaurs and matchbox cars are normally found at the foot of your bed
  • you open snacks/toys before purchasing them at walmart just to keep the kid happy
  • you have to call peds east at least once a week, and you always have to be on hold a minimum of 6 minutes each call
  • you get stressed out going anywhere b/c you have to pack the whole house in the diaper bag b/c you never know what *might* happen
  • you don't get dressed til you've already run the kids to the car in fear that you will have to change clothes yet AGAIN due to spit up
  • you rinse a bottle and use it several times before finally washing it b/c after all, the same thing goes in it each time. and it is the last one clean. and you don't feel like doing the dishes, AGAIN!
  • you love to go to the grandparents house b/c you get a small break while they entertain the kids
  • you catch yourself falling asleep anywhere you can if you get just 2 minutes of silence
  • and last but not least.....

  • you are never, ever bored! you always need more money, time and space! you never have any energy! BUT at the end of the day, you have a heart so full of joy that you wonder what in the world you did to deserve such wonderful blessings!!!

THANK YOU LORD FOR MY SWEET SWEET BABIES! I LOVE YOU TRACE & LUCAS!
