beach bums!

so can anyone guess the significance of the 2 pictures above?? nate and i went to the beach for our 5 yr anniversary, and this was my gift to him :) my creative and cheap gift i might add! yes, it is made out of capt crunch, our favorite cereal!

we left the boys in good hands... they stayed with meme & grandaddy, nae nae & josh, and bitsy & poppi while we were gone. i was leary to leave them but it was nice to get away and relax! nate and i had a great time. things kinda were crazy leading up to the trip, kinda like the devil didn't want us getting there! but we finally made it. despite the speeding ticket in pelham on the way there, but after that it was smooth sailing!!

while at gulf shores, we got to lounge around, shop, go to the movies (we saw the proposal and it was great!) eat dippin dots, fried crabclaws, lots of shrimp for nate, i read two books, soaked up the sun, stuck our toes in the sand... you get the idea! we had a wonderful trip but it was good to get back home to our boys. of course there were cute little boys everywhere i looked at the beach, so it made me miss them even more. but it was very nice to be able to layout at the beach and pool and not worry about the kids! that might have been my fav part, b/c let's face it, laying out days are SO over with 2 lil ones!!

anyways. mom says my pictures were boring without the kids... but here are a few we took of the pretty scenery. and one that we asked a stranger to take of me and nate at sea-n-suds... our most favorite restaurant at the beach. total tradition and i love it!
