M-I-C-K-E-Y!

TA-DA!!!!! (this has to be the best picture i took of trace. i LOVE it!!!) it shows how excited he was! i found a great deal on tickets for mickey's rockin' road show! we've never taken trace to anything like this before (mainly b/c i feel like he was too young and it would have been a waste of money before now! i know, i'm a cheap, no fun mom!) anyways! we went with amy and jack and the boys had a blast from the get-go! the danced and sang to justin bieber all the way to the civic center! (and it was great to be able to talk with amy and catch up.) once we got there we bought cotton candy with mickey hats! they loved the pre-show, which included several disney favorites... and when mickey came on stage trace didn't know what to think! i love the pics below, he was so into the show!! look at his little eyes and facial expressions! he was trying to keep up with all that was going on! and he LOVED his mickey ears and looked adorable!

trace loved buzz lightyear and woody! when buzz made his grand entrace, trace couldn't take his eyes off of him!

i tried HARD to get a cute pic of me and trace. do you see the faces he is making? and i actually think i look decent for once! oh well. gotta love a stubborn, A.D.D. (wonder where he gets that from) 3 yr old!

we don't get to see amy and jack often, so i'm so glad they got to come with us. and rob was able to come over and watch the duke game with nate and lucas. it was a win-win for everyone!

ok, so when ya gotta go (pee) you gotta go, right? well little did i know when i took trace to potty that the show was almost over, or i would have asked him to hold it! so we came back from the bathroom and saw people leaving! we missed the big sha-bang at the end, with all the confetti! but the boys had a great time playing in it on the floor! ha. and do you see my OCD son (i'm not being mean and labeling him, i'm just letting you know, he comes by all these things naturally! here, he is JUST like his daddy when it comes to shoes!) picking the confetti off of his converse? he literally got to the top step and had to sit down and pick all the yucky off the bottom of his shoe! ha.

we all had fun at mickey's rockin' road show! they boys were so cute. they kept playing peek-a-boo with their hats!!

so hopefully trace now thinks i'm the coolest.mom.ever for taking him to see mickey! :o) it actually wasn't too bad on my nerves, i've seen worse shows before! so we'll have to see what comes to birmingham next... i wonder if this mom decides to be cool and fun or skip the show and save some money. haha
