slumber party- part 1

this past weekend my sis and bro-in-law went out of town to bamajam, and we agreed to keep caden and lala while they were gone. (they will return the favor for nate and i when we plan a little weekend getaway soon!) so at our house, we had 4 whitt kids, ages 1, 2, 3, and 4. i know to all you crazy people supermoms, (like page, holly, and laine) who have 4 or more children of your own, this is nothing new. ha. but it is a big deal to me, when i'm used to only having 2 little people at the house! nate and i were outnumbered 4-2! but i'm happy to say we all survived, and there were only a few small meltdowns! :) and i think if you ask the kids, they had a blast! we had a picnic dinner on the kitchen floor, played wii, let the boys wrestle, read books, drank chocolate milk (except for lala belle who likes warm milk) and watched thundercats friday night. saturday morning we woke up and played inside for a while. so here's a few pics of the cousins!

look at these cuties! they can be really sweet when they want to!
caden and trace wrestling. if lucas had been awake, i'm sure he would have joined in!
oh he sure does look cute. sometimes i forget how much i want to strangle this little boy! (ok, i'd never ever strangle him. but he is so attached to me that sometimes i do feel like screaming!)
i love you lucas james!
the boys in their dragon pj's!
beautiful blue eyes!
sweet luc luc
this next picture cracks me up! the kids were pretending to be asleep... you can def tell trace is faking it! noone wanted to sleep in trace's race car bed friday night. so they all started out on the pallet in his room, but half way thru the night lala moved to a pallet in our room! and we all slept til 7:30 the next morning. hallelujah! :)
playing hard saturday morning... at one point the big kids started packing their bags, like they were gonna run away. please don't think i was mistreating them. i would, however, gladly let them run away to see how far they would have gotten. i mean, they could probably go days with their supply of 49 hot wheels, 5 swords, and dora books! totally kidding about letting them run away. ok, so maybe not! ;)

backpack, backpack!
after they got tired of playing inside, we ventured outside... to the new kiddie pool. stay tuned for more pics and stories from the rest of our slumber party weekend!!

I don't think I'm supermom, crazy - probably, but I just try to think BLESSED! I tell myself over and over in the midst of frustration - YOU'RE BLESSED!

Plus...I kept up with you the whole weekend on FB and first of all you had time for FB so you must have been doing good and a few times it sounded like you were having a good time! You proved you could do it!! So...when should we expect Whitt #5?!?

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
